Sistem Informasi Harga dan Produk Komoditi (SiHaTi) diresmikan oleh Gubernur Jawa Tengah, selaku pengarah TPID, pada bulan Maret 2013.

SiHaTi ini dibangun guna menjawab tugas TPID yang telah ditetapkan dalam Keputusan Gubernur Jawa Tengah No. 500/37 Tahun 2013. Salah satu tugas TPID yang tertera dalam Keputusan Gubernur tersebut, yaitu menyampaikan laporan pelaksanaan tugas Tim Pengendalian Inflasi Daerah Provinsi dan Kabupaten/Kota kepada Menteri Dalam Negeri melalui Direktorat Jenderal Bina Pembangunan Daerah.

Tujuan diluncurkannya SiHaTi adalah menyediakan media informasi yang komprehensif dan mudah diakses, mendukung pelaksanaan tugas pemerintah daerah/instansi terkait, memberikan informasi yang lebih akurat kepada masyarakat sehingga tercipta ekspektasi yang positif, serta sebagai media komunikasi antar anggota TPID hingga level Kabupaten/Kota.
